Taryn regularly appears as a criminal defence practitioner in applications and contested hearings in the Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court and County Court.

She has been instructed in various, complex cases and has appeared as a Court Appointed Advocate in harassment related proceedings both in the Crown Court and County Court.

Taryn has significant experience of working with vulnerable individuals, particularly those with substance misuse difficulties, mental health difficulties and youth defendants.

In addition to criminal defence work, Taryn has represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants in County Court civil litigation, and regularly provides opinions in respect of Personal Injury matters.

She also has experience of appearing in education appeals, putting forward submissions on behalf of Applicants regarding the application of school admission policies.

Taryn is currently a member of both the Young Bar Association Committee and Criminal Bar Association Committee.
