My primary area of practice is employment law in the Industrial Tribunal and Fair Employment Tribunal. I have acted on behalf of employees, multiple Claimants, executive-level employees, shareholders, as well as Respondents ranging from charities and small/medium businesses to multi-national businesses. I routinely advise clients from initial advices, to the initiation of and response to proceedings, advising clients in respect of liability, quantum and settlement, through to preliminary and final hearings.
I have provided representation to clients in the Industrial Tribunal in matters across the entire spectrum of claims, including unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, unlawful deductions of wages and discrimination on all protected grounds. I have also appeared before the Fair Employment Tribunal in religious belief discrimination and political opinion discrimination cases.
I have represented clients in matters involving TUPE, public interest disclosures, part time working, agency working, and flexible working. I have appeared in the civil courts in relation to employment-related breach of contract, including adverse employment references, as well as employment-related personal injury cases, including stress at work claims.
In addition, I also practice in the County Court, primarily in respect of breach of contract, negligence, personal injury and land disputes, however, I accept instructions in respect of all civil litigation including in the High Court. I have experience in advising and representing clients in licensing matters, including liquor licensing, betting licenses, gaming licenses and bingo licenses.
