Biography

Since qualifying for the Bar I have developed an extensive practise in Chancery, Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Professional Negligence, Employment law and general litigation whilst also working regularly for one of the District Councils. My practise also includes criminal work at both Crown Court and Magistrates Court level. In 2012 I completed my training as a Mediator under the training scheme operated by SLS.

1988; Certificate of Professional Legal Studies from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies

1998; Member of the Bar of Ireland

Experience

I have worked for 23 years firstly as a Solicitor then a Barrister and during that time have gained significant experience in dealing with all types of litigation in each of the Court Structures in Northern Ireland. Having worked both as a Solicitor and a Barrister I believe this gives me a particularly broad insight into how best to advise and direct solicitors clearly and succinctly and represent my client’s interests in the best manner possible.
