Biography

I have been in practice since 1988 in The Law Library Dublin having been called to the Bar of Republic following The Degree of Barrister-at-Law in 1988.

During the early years, on The Midland Circuit I built up an extensive Personal Injures Practice with the usual variety of circuit cases both plaintiff and defendant civil cases. The criminal case load was exclusively criminal defence work before a Jury relates to The Circuit Criminal Court and Central Criminal Court, The Court of Appeal and Supreme Courts do not include juries.I was called to the Inner Bar in 2001 and have practiced since in a wide variety of areas including most recently (1995) in ADR, Alternative Dispute Resolution as an Accredited Mediator in the Republic and as an Arbitrator under the UNCITRAL Rules.

Experience

I acted for eight persons found to have been ” Wrongfully Arrested and Detained” by The Morris Tribunal, concerning the conduct of certain members of An Garda Siochana in Donegal -2006

I also acted on behalf of a Politician being a Public Representive, who was denied his Legal Costs, by reason of his non-cooperation with the Mahon Tribunal, overturning the Flood Tribunal findings, awarding full legal costs and vindicating the good name of the client as a public representative over many years.- 2009
