Professional Negligence
The focus of my practice is personal injury litigation. I practise the full spectrum of occupiers’ liability, negligence and nuisance claims, mostly for defendant public authorities and insurers. Clinical negligence is an area of particular interest and I have advised and represented plaintiffs in cases across a broad sweep of the medical sphere, including dentistry.
Another significant proportion of my work involves advising and representing public authorities in environmental and planning matters. I have developed significant experience in this field for a relatively junior counsel and I regularly accept instructions in cases involving Enforcement and Stop Notices, Planning Appeal Commission hearings and section 156 (Planning Act 2011) High Court injunctions, amongst others. I am available for Judicial Reviews and Inquiries. I have been instructed in several significant and complex statutory nuisance cases.
