Biography

Charles was called to the Bar in September 2025 and is now available to take instructions in a range of areas including criminal,family and civil matters.

A past law student of the Open University and the IPLS, Charles can provide clear, persuasive advocacy combined with skilled preparation and
attention to detail.

Before being called to the Bar, Charles obtained a PhD at Queen’s University Belfast and was an academic there for twenty one years. In
addition to lecturing in computer science, he conducted research in cyber physical security and in the application of artificial intelligence for predictive analytics in intensive care medicine.
