Biography

Caroline was educated at Down High School, Queen’s University, Belfast and at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen’s. She was called to the bar in 2000 and quickly developed a busy practice. Caroline qualified as a mediator in 2013 and continues to develop her skills in the area of family and matrimonial mediation.

Caroline practises in all areas of family law: • Children including wardship, private law and public law cases. • Adoption including freeing for adoption and stepparent adoption. • Divorce and Ancillary Relief proceedings. • Non Molestation Orders. • Protection from Harassment Civil Injunctions • Maintenance proceedings • Family Judicial Review.

Caroline acts for children, Guardian Ad Litems and parents. Caroline has experience at all court levels from Family Proceedings Court to Court of Appeal and extensive experience of being led by Senior Counsel.

Caroline has a wide experience of consulting with clients in Maghaberry HMP, PACT & Thorndale Residential Units, Children’s Homes, Psychiatric Hospitals and visited Knock Contact Centre.
