Biography

Aoife was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in 2019 and is available to accept instructions in all areas of practice. She enjoys a varied practice, with a focus on civil litigation. Aoife has gained experience in personal injury matters at County Court level and has been instructed in defamation actions in the High Court. She is keen to expand this area of practice.


Aoife has a background in criminal defence work, appearing regularly in the Magistrates’ Court and Youth Court in contested hearings and applications. She has significant experience working with vulnerable individuals including those with mental health difficulties, as well as youth defendants.

As part of a wide-ranging practice, Aoife recurrently appears in family law matters, representing individuals in Children’s Order cases and Non-Molestation Orders applications across all court tiers.
