My practice is in both the civil and family law fields covering a wide range of cases from accidents at work, personal injury resulting from road traffic collisions, tripping and slipping, breach of contract, personal insolvency, repossession, boundary and building disputes. Having a keen interest in property and land law I aspire to develop my practice in the chancery and commercial courts. In the employment field I have conducted hearings in unfair dismissal and discrimination cases. My family practice is largely conducted in the magistrate court jurisdiction focusing on contact and domestic disputes whilst my matrimonial practice is conducted at both county and high court level.
Graduating from Queen’s University, Belfast where I was awarded the Butterworth Law Prize and the First Year Foundation Scholarship I worked within the private client department of a large commercial practice in Belfast before completing my studies at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies where I was awarded the Sir Eoin Higgins Prize for Top Bar Student. Since being called to the Bar in 2007 I have been accredited as a tutor at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies where I tutor on legal drafting and high court courses.
