Biography

John was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in 2011 and the Bar of Ireland in 2018. In 2017 John was appointed to the Government Legal Services Panel of Counsel, receiving instructions from the Departmental and Crown Solicitors. In 2020 John was appointed to the panel of counsel for the Directorate of Legal Services, which is the sole provider of legal services for the Health and Social Care Sector in Northern Ireland.

John has assisted the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen’s University, Belfast, and also provides CPD courses and lectures on various topics in which he practises, both to fellow colleagues and other interested professionals.
