Biography

I was called to the Bar in 1993. Member of Junior Counsel Crown Civil Panel 2004 to date.

Appointed and retained as Junior Counsel to the Inquiry into Hyponatraemia Related Deaths in Northern Ireland 2008-2012.

Experience

I have had a broad and varied practice in both criminal and civil law since 1993. My civil practice ranges from general Commercial Law, Contract Law and Chancery to Judicial Review and Planning cases. I have appeared in various planning inquiries for the Department of the Environment, and on other occasions for private parties. I was also Junior Counsel to the Inquiry into Hyponatraemia Related Deaths in Northern Ireland for 4 years. I have been selected and retained as a Junior Counsel on the Crown Civil Panels for the last 9 years. On being called to the Bar I prosecuted for approximately 10 years and I also undertook criminal defence work.
