Andy was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in September 2016. Having completed his pupillage with a criminal law practitioner where his work was focused in the adult and youth Magistrates’ Court along with the Crown Court and Court of Appeal. Additionally, Andy experienced working on judicial reviews of the Northern Ireland Prison Service. He looks forward to developing his experience in the areas of employment law, immigration law, professional negligence and personal injury. Andy is available to accept instructions in all practice areas.

Prior to being called to the Bar, Andy worked in the field of mechanical engineering spanning a 23-year period. During this time he has gained a wealth of experience in health and safety at work, management systems, and quality assurance auditing.
After changing career pathways in 2012, Andy read law at Queen’s University Belfast and was awarded a 2:1 honours degree in 2015. He then progressed to The Institute of Professional Legal Studies, graduating in 2016.
